Stop pausing service
to write down temps.

The CompliChef Round is a small round screen that sits in your kitchen and keeps your fridge and freezer records for you. Bluetooth probes take the temperature, the Round sends it to CompliChef over Wi-Fi, and nobody has to stop and grab a pen.

  • Fridge and freezer records that fill themselves in
  • Live temperature on screen, with an in-range indicator
  • A Critical Temperature Alert email if a fridge goes warm
  • No more paper sheets or WhatsApp photos of thermometers

Coming soon. Expected launch price £65 per Round.

Why Rounds

Fridge checks shouldn't stop service.

Somebody has to down tools, find the sheet, open every fridge and write a number down. On a busy shift that's the last thing anyone needs. Rounds take the job off your team completely.

Pen-and-paper sheets

  • Someone has to stop what they're doing
  • Handwriting that's hard to read later
  • Sheets get splashed, creased or lost
  • Nothing flags a reading that's too high

WhatsApp photos of thermometers

  • Still means stopping to take the photo
  • Buried in a busy group chat
  • Hard to find when the EHO asks
  • Not a proper record in one place

CompliChef Rounds

  • Probes take the reading, nobody stops
  • Uploads to CompliChef automatically
  • Time-stamped and marked Safe or Critical
  • Alert email when a reading goes critical
  • Live temperature on the Round's screen
How it works

Probes measure. The Round does the rest.

Three simple parts working together, so the temperatures end up in your records without anyone touching a pen.

Inkbird probes take the reading

Small Inkbird Bluetooth probes do the measuring. The IBS-TH2 sits inside a fridge. For freezers, the IBS-TH2 Plus has a wired probe that goes inside while its body stays outside.

The Round picks it up

The Round plugs into USB-C power and listens for your probes over Bluetooth. It shows the live temperature with an in-range indicator, like "In range 0 to 8°C".

CompliChef records it

The Round uploads each reading over Wi-Fi to CompliChef, so your fridge and freezer records fill themselves in. Time-stamped, every time.

Automatic records

Your fridge records, filled in for you

Readings from your Rounds show up in your CompliChef Fridge and Freezer records on their own. Each one is time-stamped and marked Safe or Critical, so when something's wrong it's ready for a corrective action straight away.

  • Fridge and freezer records with no paper sheet
  • Every reading time-stamped and marked Safe or Critical
  • Critical readings ready for a corrective action
  • See each Round and its probes in the CompliChef iOS app

Know when a fridge goes warm

When a reading goes critical, CompliChef sends a Critical Temperature Alert email telling you which fridge, what temperature and which Round picked it up. The Round shows the warning on its screen too, so whoever's nearby can see it.

  • Email shows the equipment, temperature and source
  • The reading is saved as Critical in your records
  • Ready for you to add a corrective action

Getting started

Set up in 3 steps.

Then it runs itself. Your readings upload to CompliChef automatically.

01

Plug in

Plug the Round into USB-C power. The cable and UK plug come with it.

02

Connect in the app

Open the CompliChef iOS app and go to Rounds. Scan the QR code on the Round's screen and the app sends it your Wi-Fi details. Rounds need 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

03

Place your Inkbird probes

Put an IBS-TH2 inside each fridge. For a freezer, keep the IBS-TH2 Plus body outside with only the wired probe inside. Then link each probe to a fridge or freezer in the app.

Bonus: Wi-Fi dead zones In development

Walk-ins and cellars often have no Wi-Fi. We're working on letting a Round down there keep saving its readings, and pass them through a second Round that's in Wi-Fi range, so they still reach CompliChef.

FAQ

Questions about Rounds.

1 Do I need a CompliChef subscription?

Yes. Rounds work with CompliChef. The Round sends its readings into your CompliChef Fridge and Freezer records, so you'll need a CompliChef plan for them to land somewhere. See CompliChef pricing.

2 What Wi-Fi does a Round need?

Rounds need 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. During set-up you scan the QR code on the Round's screen with the CompliChef iOS app, and the app sends your Wi-Fi details across.

3 How many probes can one Round handle?

A Round hears several Inkbird probes nearby at the same time. On our test Round the app lists three probes heard nearby, and you link each one to a fridge or freezer in the app.

4 Does it work in a walk-in freezer?

Yes, with the Inkbird IBS-TH2 Plus. Its wired probe goes inside the freezer and the unit itself stays outside. If your walk-in or cellar has no Wi-Fi, we're developing a way for a Round there to keep saving readings and pass them through a second Round that's in Wi-Fi range.

5 What happens if a fridge gets too warm?

The reading is saved in your records as Critical, ready for you to add a corrective action, and CompliChef sends a Critical Temperature Alert email showing the equipment, the temperature and which Round recorded it.

6 What do I need to set it up?

A Round plugged into USB-C power (the cable and UK plug come with it), the CompliChef iOS app, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and an Inkbird probe for each fridge or freezer.
